The end of the earth.
“Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalm 61:1-2 (WEB)
“Lead me to the rock that is higher than I” — David isn’t asking for a ladder. He’s asking for something he can’t reach on his own. He’s admitting, in the same breath as his prayer, that he can’t get there.
These live among our psalms for exhausted hearts — one psalm, one honest echo, every morning.
Quietly with you,
