You’ve been searching yourself and coming up terrified.
“Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” — Psalm 139:23-24 (WEB)
This is one of the bravest prayers in Scripture. David is asking God to do the thing that terrifies every anxious person: look inside me. All the way in. Past the performance. Past the curated exterior. Into the raw, unedited, unfiltered interior. And find what’s really there.
These live among our psalms for anxious hearts — one psalm, one honest echo, every morning.
Quietly with you,
