You’ve been carrying things that were never yours to carry.
“Cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.” — Psalm 55:22 (WEB)
The word “cast” in Hebrew is violent. It doesn’t mean “place carefully.” It means hurl. Throw. Fling. Which tells you something about the weight David is describing — it’s not the kind you set down gently.
These live among our psalms for anxious hearts — one psalm, one honest echo, every morning.
Quietly with you,
