You almost forgot.
“Bless the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” — Psalm 103:2-5 (WEB)
David gives himself a command: “don’t forget.” Which means forgetting is the default. The human brain is wired to track threats, not blessings. You can receive a hundred kindnesses and one insult, and at 2am it’s the insult that plays on repeat.
These live among our psalms for grateful hearts — one psalm, one honest echo, every morning.
Quietly with you,
